I remember seeing Inxs when I was 14 yrs old ,1984, I will never forget that concert,I am still a huge fan ,Michael was the best and still is in my eyes, he was a awesome singer I have gotten my kids into their music now as well 🙂
Not just a Rock STAR, but an unrivalled Australian Rock ICON!!
No one can ever rouse a crowd quite like Michael...his passion, presence and undeniable appeal is second to none. His legacy shall live on through his lyrics and tremendous music that will NEVER fade away. Stay young and shine like it does to the MAN and the LEGEND! 'HUTCH' FOREVER!!!

Even so I haven't seen them live in concert, for me they are one of the greatest bands ever. Michael's dead is surely a great loss, but because of his music, he will life forever .... Thanks for all the wonderful songs!
You know, I went to every concert that INXS played in Scotland and INXS was my very first one. They are simply the very best band for playing live in the world. Some people jumped about crazy, but I was just glad to be there, watching, listening in ore and still get goose pimples when hearing them live.
It has been a very long time since I last heard them live, but it still lives so close in my mind and heart.
The things you love most in the world die sooner than the things you don't and that is what happened.
I bought tickets for the new show next year, and JD sounds good and the other guys in the band deserve so much, as they put so much into the band in the first place. So I wish them the very best and I'm sure the name: Michael Hutchence will live for ever.

Michael's words are inspiring. His voice is beautiful. I was much too young to know INXS when his death happened, I was only 8. However, I have since discovered the amazing talent that is the core of INXS, and in such, his music, his lyrics, and his legacy lives on.
Una leyenda no se olvida jamas... núnca te olvidaremos Michael.
michael was the greatest singer and writer of all time. you might have heard this alot through out time. people reckon BONO and Thome yorke are better singers and writers, but michael could just capture the heart of people just by letting them see his face. michael passed away when i was 7, so i never got to listen to him when he was alive. i went to the INXS concert in mackay QLD, on the 29 of august 2006, and the band was just brilliant, the town just loved them and spoke about them for ever, but if only the greatest singer of all time was there. it would have been brilliant. mostly seeing him in person. michael is the best and they need to put a 100 foot tall statue of him and the band in front of his most favourite place in the world (like here in australia).
This was such a sad loss. I was not a huge fan when Michael passed and through the years have discovered the great music of INXS and feel like I missed so much because of the lack of opportunities now. I have read about Micheal in the book by his mother and sister and feel like I have known him, myself. It was touching. I hope to someday name my daughter Tiger Lily. It is a beautiful name that could only have come from a man so good with making words into beauty. Thanks for giving me passion in more music.
It's still so sad you had to go.
I look to the sky tonight and say a prayer even though i'm not the praying type.
I know you are up there sparkling & shinning so bright.
You left us with so much mike. Thankyou.

He was special, unique...a wonderful man, inside and outside, that kind of man that captivates and draws you closer and closer by everything he does! There are no words to say how amazing you were and how NO ONE comes close to you!! You had a voice like no other and that cannot be fabricated or copied!I pitty those who desperately try to do so!!
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS...love you and miss you! God bless your soul

So many great songs, so many wonderful shows, so many “hey howyadoin”s...great memories, all.
So many years have passed, but some days it still stops me in my tracks when I realise I won't ever see you again. I have to remind myself, still, that's it's real, and you're gone. That I won't ever again live and breathe the thrill of leaning on the front of the stage as you pranced around on show; that I won't ever again sit cross-legged with my friends on the carpeted floor at Rhino, waiting for you to take a break from recording so you could come chat and laugh and talk with us in that charming, casual way that was so...you.
You're really gone.
It's been nearly 10 years and you know what? I'm still not quite over it. Maybe I won't ever be.
I'll let you in on a secret. It took a very, very long time for me to warm up to JD, the new guy. I wouldn't - couldn't - listen to the 'new INXS' for a long, long time. Just couldn't. But then I heard 'Pretty Vegas', on the radio, without knowing...and dammnit, I was hooked. Again. He's a singer, all right and he belongs in the band. Confession: I bought the album. You'd be proud.
But still, never another you. Never another Hutch.
Thanks for everything. For letting us 'fans' into your life. For inviting us into your terrace in Darlinghurst on Christmas Eve and making us feel welcome even when you didn't know how we got the address (still not telling lol)!! For always treating us like equals, even though we were only kids. For inspiring us to dream, for everything.
Thank you from the heart.
You were a one of a kind, and you are missed more than you will ever, ever know.

After 9 years the hole Micheal left is still as big as ever. I still listen to his music, and realize theres no onme quite like him. you could just tell he was a good kind soul. he wore it on his sleeves. If everyone was like that the world would be a lot better place.
Thankyou for the memories through your music and words.
michael was a very talent person in our pop culture. he was as popular as “the stones” to some people. michael was as vivaious as any sex symbol of the period.and from what i have seem he and inxs have never received their dues as the pop influences that they became.most people will chaulk them up as a band who had a lot of catchy tunes.that is really too bad.inxs with michael were really a heart driving full steam ahead thunderous band.don't ever doubt their talent!
It is so lovely and heartwarming to see just how many lives were touched with uplifting joy by michael, I was very fortunate to have seen inxs with him a few times and was blown away by his very presence. One time I waited outside the stage door for them and as they came out Michael turned and smiled right at me talk about love at first sight!!
I will always miss him, his magic lives on, well done for such a touching memorial website may it always continue! Lots of love xxx

michael, you brought joy to every person that you touched with your words, you are such a great loss to this earth. we all miss you. Hope you are sitting up with the angels and using your amazing voice to cheer every one up god bless you michael.
I was too young to appreciate Michael while he was with us; however i have more than made up for it in the past couple of years. He was an exceptional talent, and although he isnt here anymore, his legacy lives on through his music - which will never die. You are missed mate.
What a talent!!! I grew up with my parents listening to INXS- great music never gets old. So sad that such a beautiful person is now gone....
I have seen inxs many times and Michael was a master of working the crowd he is missed, i have seen inxs twice with jd and he is a breath of fresh air and brings something new but it is weird to watch them and not see Michael up there he forever left a void that can not be filled and i don't mean any disrespect to jd
All my respects and great memories, for one of the best singers of rock. Also consider for me as an icon, and part of my life. Since he past away, life is not the same for me. One of the greatest in the rock universe. God saves Michael. Alex
tonight im falling in love with your voice for the very first time even though ive known about you since 1982.
Thank you for all the times that your songs have lifted my spirits, inspired my thoughts and made me think out of my own private and intimate box. I have many, many memories of listening to INXS songs throughout the 24 years that I have been listening to INXS.
The times in between albums always seemwd to long, and I thought that the music would never cease. Although INXS has continued sucessfully, I will always the majic that M.H. brought to the band.
Inxs will always be my favorite band, and I will make sure that an INXS song is played at my funeral along with Amazing Grace.
God Bless to M. H. and his family and to the INXS family as well. Thank you again and Don't Change!!!!
Sincerely

I was thinking of you last week.. I raised my glass in your honor on the 22nd. Much love to you always beautiful Michael.. and thank you for the gift of your amazing and uplifting music. ~love aaaalways~ Terri 🙂
I can remember the extreme dismay I felt upon hearing of Michael's death. I was born in the middle of the 1950's - so I have experienced all the best of the different styles and cultures in the music industry, from many different angles and influences. There have been a few special occurrences in my time where I felt it was a life changing one. Seeing The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, listening to Pink Floyd (any album) and INXS. The first time I saw INXS video (sorry, bad fan, can't remember what the song was..) I was just riveted!!! Michael had such chemisty, and he complemented
the rest of the band and their music so unbelievably. I would always have to buy the albums a second time cause I wore them out!
Thank god for CD's. I only have seen INXS once, but when I am old and gray, I will remember it until the end. I so miss Michael. I will go for very long periods of time where that is all I listen to - Michael's voice and the best music ever!! I loved Rock Star INXS alot, and I know that Michael was happy to see the boys find a extremely talented singer and front man for the band (Yea - a CANADIAN!!)- Michael would want them to go on with their lives and be happy. I know he is looking down at JD and is smiling ! No one can replace Michael - but JD is doing a great job and I wish the band all the success in the world !!

the guy was a stage genious & one of the greatest frontmen ever lived. Long live the music of INXS & Michael.
