well, what can i say? michael you touched me..your music, your charisma, your being on stage etc..man, i will never forget the 1st time i heard INXS..saw a video etc...i was in LOVE. never got to see you or the guys when you were on this earth..but so regret not...now seeing the band on their switched tour, i have seen them 2 xs...my next trip is to albuquerque in june. i find each time i see the band, closing my eyes and imagining michael on stage..i have purchased anything INXS to see what i did miss all these years..only to fnd myself sitting in front of the screen, crying, wishing you were with us..each concert, each song, tear us part, by my side, afterglow, i just get so emotional. what a impact you made on me and the music world..you are sadly missed and loved..i will treasure every thing i can get my hands on to make me closer to you and the band...in fact i searched high and low for your solo cd...got it and wow...thats all i can say...you deserve so much recognition beyond what my words say...i will miss you forever..but know that each time i hear a INXS song, i just become closer to you..and the guys. the other day i was going thru my cd collection and thought wow...ive been a fan...for so long. do remember back in 1991, i was going thru a divorce...would go out to dance..i heard suicide blonde..it was like all my bad feelings had gone away..i felt free and happy again.

I have just recently been able to listen to INXS music again and enjoy it. For the past almost 9 years it just made me too sad. When I watched Rock Star INXS, as painful as it was, I was reminded of ALL the reasons I loved INXS and how much I love all the guys in the band.
I was fortunate enough to see and meet Michael and everyone many times in the mid to late 80's. I am most grateful that they began their college tour in '87 in Michigan, and played many dates in and around where I lived so I was able to see them so many times on that tour.
I remember Michael as being sweet and surprisingly shy. I was only 16 the first couple times I met him on the LLT tour, but he didn't treat me like a kid- he was very gracious and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable, as nervous as I am sure he knew I was.
I miss him, and often think of Tiger and how sad she must feel sometimes. I have two boys, 7 and 4 who are learning piano and guitar and promise that someday they will learn to play “This Time” for their mom. I can't wait.

November 22, 1997, it was the day after my 38th birthday when I heard the news of the passing of Michael. He was a kind sweet soul and a voice still to this day puts me at ease and I have a smile on my face just thinking of him. I miss him yet his beautiful soul will live on. Thank you for us to have the opportunity to be in your company, if for just alittle while.

I just saw INXS last night in Montreal and I couldn't help but to weep during the show whenever they played old songs, especially Never Tear Us Apart, Need You Tonight, etc. I was not sure if I should go but I went because I wanted to support the guys. Ever since 22 years ago when I became an INXS fan, I saw them live four times and watched them perform their classics hundreds of time on my screen. To see the band live without Michael was very painful and made me remembered how great he way. Michael was charismatic, genuine, caring and had class. He didn't over do it and stayed himself on stage. I actually can't stand this vulgar and Canada-obsessed JD. It was a great thing that there was a very tall man in front of me, so I kept moving behind him to hide the new singer. That made it bearable. At least Andrew, Jon, Tim, Kirk and Garry seemed happy on stage and that is important too. You are greatly missed dear Michael.

The music world lost one of its greatest talents the day Michael died. INXS was one of my favorite bands throughout my youth and I remember how deeply shocked I was, the day I learned he died and how I couldn't listen to his music for a while cuz I couldnt fathom he was dead. Eventually, I started listening and loving it all over again. He may no longer be with his fans in body, but he will always be with us in his music.

I still love listening to their CDs and my daughter and I often watch their old film clips and have a bop.

I Love michael now and Forever. He brought love and Joy into my life and i shall always think or him and remember him with smiles. I was lucky enough to meet him in the early days of INXS on tour in Dayton,Ohio. he was so sweetto me. I also was able to see him perform many times over the years. What can I say, that so many others have all ready said before me? My wonderful son, who is 17months is named after michael- (Michael Joseph Hewson) his middle name is from my Grandfather & is the name he goes by, but his first name his after your sons/brother.
Michael was a/is a very extaordinary person, so wonder that I have never had a more profound conection with anyother rock star other then him. I love Bono from U2, but this feeling is weird - everytime I hear Michael on one of his song, or see him on one of the DVD's - I start to cry. I've heard sad ssongs before from many other artists, but none of them cut me like Michael does.
I think, that Michael said one time that he wanted to matter in this world and with the band as well - he will never know how much he mattered especially to me and my family. And know, that he and his love will always live on in our home.
