In 1986, I was living on Long Island New York, and spending a lot of time at the Oak Beach Inn, which has since been demolished by the forces of evil. One of my most vivid memories of the OBI was the way the crowd would come alive when “Need You Tonight” would start to play. As Michael's voice caressed the lyrics, the crowd on the dance floor would sway to the rythym and move to the music. No music before or since has made me feel the way I felt then.

We met INXS and Michael in Sept 1997 in Toronto. They had just attended a BBQ for a local radio station and had a gig that night.
We met them around 5 or 6pm as they trickled down to the bar for a get together before the show. We had a couple drinks and some great conversation before the show. During the show my friend and I made it easily to the front for a great performance. After the show we decided to head back to the hotel. The manager asked who we were with and said naturally the band. They had no issues letting us back in and treating us like great old friends. Michael and I had great conversations about the music of Inxs and lyrics to songs that meant a lot to me personally. He had all the time in the world for us that night and just shows you what type of great person he really was. He will be sadly missed.

On Michael's anniversary special Buddhist Memorial services were held at the NYC Nichiren Shoshu Temple. I can not call myself a 'huge fan' but always enjoyed his work. This 'Toba Memorial' as it is called ensures the enlightenment, peace and security of the deceased in their next existence. I took it upon myself to have this memorial in Michaels name when I learned of his anniversay on this web-site. The Buddhist chant; “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo”

Well, what else can I say that has not alrady been said by so many of you'r fans, since the world lost the best front man anybody has ever seen.Every day the music is playing somwhere around my home and i just smile when you start singing thank you for being around a short time in life to bring so much joy to every INXS fan around the Globe.
