Suicide Blonde and Disappear hooked me when I saw them on MTV after school in 1990, and I have been a die hard fan ever since. INXS has been one of my all time favorite bands since I was 14. I'm now 37, and not once has my admiration, or love for the band and it's music waned over the years. In fact, as I became a musician it only grew. Michael Hutchence is someone I will always admire and respect. He's the perfect bland of Rock, swagger, sexiness, and soul all wrapped up in one awesome package. As a man, I admire his sense of cool, style and the way he seemed to handle himself. He was truly one of a kind. I'm happy to be able to say I saw them on the X tour, I still remember his Black Vinyl Jacket shining all the way to the nosebleed seats we had.
I do my best Hutch impression at Karaoke most weekends, and the albums are and will always be in my rotation. Rest in Peace Michael, all your fans miss you.

Dear Michael,

It has been a while since I sent a message. Well, yesterday, August 24,2013 my son Jake got married. The wedding was beautiful. I had the honor to dance with my son too one of my favorite songs...Never Tear us apart. You see I was outside last night around 7p.m. smoking a cig and drinking well?....Gin.Seven and Lemon drinks. My neighbor recommended that drink. The next thing I know is my HUSBAND TED. Yeah, he's a teddy bear. Whatever? Ted tells me, Kath, It's the Mother and Son dance, ya gotta go now!! I walked in and there was Jake, smiling waiting patiently in the middle of the dance floor. I walked up too him and gave him a hug and at that moment INXS Never Tear Us Apart began...I have not been so happy before. You are so INSPRIRATIONAL, Michael and INXS.

P.S. I don't feel like a Mother-in-law?

I am watching INXS in concert on Sky Arts and wanted to pay my respects to Michael. What an amazing frontman he was - charismatic and such a voice. RIP Michael, you will never be forgotten x

Michael was such a great artist. He was really my favorite artist. My uncle played the drums for Carlos Santana when I was a child. Michael was born back in 1960 and life was much different back then. Education wasn't that important and drug use was common amoung musicians. I have some friends who chose suicide here in the USA but it has no purpose and only harms others. Musicians often get caught up in emotions and this can cause them to not want to live. I didn't become a musician but became a Defensive Lineman Football player instead until I was injured. I am happy I did that because it taught me that you need to be tough and not allow suicide to become an option when relationships go wrong etc. I sure appriciate Michaels music though. I am a huge fan of his.

Been thinking about lots lately Michael, really wish you were here enjoying your life, making great music - be it be solo or with the band and most importantly, seeing your girl grow up- she's just beautiful! Miss you Michael!

Remembering our dear friend Kelland Hutchence today and wishing him a very happy birthday. God rest your precious soul. Always in our hearts.

an angel like you had to return back where he belonged. In heaven. That knowledge does not change the fact that we still miss you, that your voice, your words and your music are here to dress our moments, to light our lives. R.I.P Michael and save a smile for us...A human being so full of FOS (that is the greek word for light) cannot be forgotten...Thank you!

I was here at home and suddendly I just wanted to hear his voice in By My Side...but every time I listen to a INXS song I get really sad, I still can believe how he died...I know he will be alive forever in his music and in all what he did but it's not fair that a beatiful person like Mike is no longer with us. God bless you, his family, for raising a child like him. We will always be thankful for your gift. Best wishes.
