On the morning of my 25th b-day my World crashed. How could the smile of all ages have faded forever. It is with great love that I say “ Michael, I miss you dearly.” You'll live in me forever!!! Thanks!!!!!

People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad. ~Marcel Proust

Hope your travels are going well Michael, we miss you and wish you were here.

I feel in love with INXS hard and fast......it seems Michael read my mind and put my thoughts and desires to music. I crave Michael's voice and talent in today's music. I will forever be his fan and hope INXS can continue to reach the level of genuis they did with him as their voice. Thank you Michael for being the star you were...shine brightly in the heavens above.

You were deeply involved in my golden teenage years. You rocked. The 1997 event was a shock, a door closed, I got engaged that December... It was definetely the end of my youth. Bad and good.
Love you.

Having grown up in a home where music was our primary form of entertainment (there was a period of about 10 years when we didn't even have a television in the house), I grew up with an appreciation of everything from classical to classic to easy listening to disco. This TV-free period in my life was in its prime during the early-80s, during which I was developing a greater appreciation and understanding of music and developing a real feel and sense for what music really was all about.
My brother, several years older, worked at an “underground” (as alternative was known at the time) music store located in the basement of a bookstore in downtown Orlando--I guess it was more underground than they thought!
As employees, they got to bring home new release albums to preview and demo pretty frequently. Most of the stuff was pretty forgettable and blends together in my memory now. But a few bands (most of them with only one and perhaps a rare second song that I can even remember the name of or lyrics to at this point) reached out and grabbed me. I bought quite a few albums and CDs (once they became available) during that time.
But very few of those are still with me today. INXS is the exception. The band had a unique sound and feel, so incredible and ever-evolving (yet somehow always true to the heart of INXS and the roots from which their loyal fans and the band themselves had grown), that I bought everything that the band put out. Even now, I have albums, CDs, Videos, T-Shirts, posters, bumper stickers, etc. And to this day, there is usually at least one INXS CD in my car and at my desk at work.
The 6 men behind that 4-letter word (INXS) which became universally synonymous with such a pure musical talent are, in my opinion, the best thing to ever happen to music. The music always takes me back to the early days of my childhood and the late years of my teens.
Unfortunately, like so many things from our childhood, Michael was taken from us too soon. What's left are the posters, CDs and records with his name and the unmistakable and inimical voice that was INXS. Michael, I miss you...and will always wonder what sort of influence you could have had on the music that will dominate the rest of my life. But I am sure that you are in a better place now, where the acoustics are perfect and admission is free. I hope that you have found “what you need.”
Rest in Peace, “shining star.”

Thank you Michael... Thank you for providing the music to my youth. The music that underscored the memories of my teen years. Wearing boldly printed INXS shirts throughout the school halls, making a statement that the music was what I need. The new sensation was the velvet voice that gave masculinity a new sound, a new aura that would never tear us apart and keep us always remembering the man that kept thousands of arms waving to the sound at
Wembley and countless other venues around the world. Here's to you, to your memory, to your abundant energy and passion that will never be forgotten. Not enough time for all that we wanted, but enought for a lasting impression for the rest of our lives. We miss you, your time came too soon, but your spirt will live on in our hearts, in our memories, and throughout our lives. For remembering you, ...these are the times!!!

Michael was a beautiful man with a beautifal voice. With November just around the corner i cant help but remember myself when i was young, dancing around in my room, flipping my hair and singing at the top of my lungs to my favourite INXS songs. After so many years his music lives on.. where ever he is now, I hope he's singing still

I saw Michael during his last Canadian show in 1997, just two months before he died. All I can say is that Michael was a charasmatic front man with a voice from heaven and sex appeal unlike no other.

Michael Hutchence will live on with my children who love to watch his videos that ive collected and music that ive collected through the years. We as a family enjoy the music that has been given to the world for pure enjoyment. as a family we actually laugh and sing the songs that were made hits by the voice INXS. Michael,
Where do I begin.... Your music still rocks and I listen almost everyday in the morning when I wake up and get ready for work. I know that your death was an accident nothing else. Not sure why god took you when he did, but I guess you were needed elsewhere. I know you are still watching over your bandmates and Tigerlily. I love INXS and only wish I got to see you in concert. Thank you so much for touching our lives!

I was at the Apollo Manchester on the first night of their first headline tour in 1985.
Right on the stage at Kirk's feet Micheal fell over his own feet, but he and they were excellent. I wonder if Kirk remembers me pulling his brown leather pants.
