I always wake up on November 22nd with a twinge of sadness and melancholy. There is only one way to express it: I miss Michael. I'd been a fan of INXS since the age of 12 and grew up with the band. Hearing of his passing was like losing a dear friend.
Some mornings though, I wake up, play one of his CDs and smile, happy that he was able to give us what he did in his short life...The melancholy, however, never really subsides.

Another year has passed, and as usual on this day, I pause and tell Michael how much he is missed. We will never know the music that was not given a chance to be created.....such a loss. This date, as well as his Birthday, will never pass without such a pause and thanks, to such an incredible talent, and person. We will love you always, Mich

The lack of annual tribiutes in the UK press and music media seems to deny the historical facts that Michael and INXS were in the elite of the music business for much more than the 80's.
Gone, but not forgotten. I lived my 20's trying to emulate that hair Michael, but it was always a dream too far 🙂

It's still hard to believe you're gone. Seven years and you are still greatly missed and loved. You were the biggest influence in my life, Michael. Like other fans, you helped me get through such tough times and I'm thankful for it. Your voice and tne music of INXS were all I had at one point. I still can't believe you're gone. Best wishes to your loving family and Tigerlily.
