Michael, as I am writing this I am thinking of you as your day is coming up and this year will be the 9th year that you haven't been with us... I was only 7 when you died... and have grown to love your music, I recieved one of your albums for Christmas one year and I fell in love with you and the band... I just wish that you were still here with us, to share your wonderful talent with the rest of the world... RIP Michael Hutchence, you are sadly missed by all of us... xoxo
ive been listening to inxs since i first saw live baby live on vh1 here in the states. at first i wasnt really paying attention then i heard a song from when i was younger and i was instantly hooked . i couldnt tear myself from that channel even if the house was burning . watching micheal was like seeing a god . then i come to find out that deeply sad news of micheals death i found myself saddend.that he is no longer with us . so in closing i offer my condolences to the hutchence family and freinds of micheals.

I didn't hear about his death til a couple of years later. I remember I had wondered what had happened to INXS. When I found out on the “Behind the Music” show what happened I was shocked and saddened. I couldn't believe someone as honest and sincere as he was could be gone so soon!
I was so dissapointed that I wasn't able to see or hear him again until I bought the two videotaptes that were out previously, at a resale shop near where I live. That was about four years ago now.
Then two Christmasses ago I received the reissue of KICK as a gift. I listened to it and felt sad because I realized I hadn't really appreciated his music before his untimely death.
I have since purchased several of their albums and with each listen I hear someting dfferent in them each time.
They were and are a great treasure to me and always will be! Thank you Michael for being you!
