you truly were the ultimate and consumate rock star, no matter what happened, nothing should detract from the way you lived your life, surrounded by your brothers (not only paternally but also your band brothers), a loving father, a brilliant musician.. This is the way I will always remember you. From a man who appreciates the music of INXS, your music the music of your life, thankyou, and thank INXS for the wonderful experiences you have not only given us but shared with us. you will always be remembered and that is the way it should be. I can barely believe how many years have gone since that dreadful day of Michael's passing. I am sure many people feel the same as me in that it is something we will never completely recover from. From Michael's powerful voice and lyrics, it feels as if I knew him personally. He is a beautiful man sadly missed.

Michael was such an inspiration to millions of people.I am only 24 years old and I listen to his music everyday.I have 5 children ages 1 to 6 and they love his music.He was so unique and passionate.I have the Live baby Live DVD and it was an amazing show,I wish I was there.We miss and love you Michael.

Michael, I just wanted to say that you really inspire me in everything I do. I watch the “I'm Only Looking” DVD EVERYDAY to start my day off and sometimes I'll watch it when I come home from school. Whenever I see you perform, it cheers me up! I'm only 14 years old but I feel like I'm one of your true fans...I just wish I had the chance to meet you or see you live in concert. Hello, it's been a long time since my last entry, but not a single day passes by without thinking of lovely Michael. I was remembering that when I posted here for the first time it was to give my condolences to Kell, who was kind enough in responding my message with beautiful words! I really appreciated that he took the time out of his hardest moments to reply! I will never forget that.
Well, about Mike, what can I say? I am moved after reading all the beautiful words Michael continues to inspire. Last weekend I was home alone because my daughter and her boyfriend went out of town, and I took the opportunity to watch again (and complete for the first time!) my “I'm only looking” DVD, specifically disc no. 2.
I discovered great material, rehearsals, behind the cameras, etc. and “Michael moments” which made me laugh! Oh God, he was so full of energy and had such a lovely aura, he was enchanting, always smiling and laughing and making jokes! I don't want to feel sad, instead I want to raise my glass to you beautiful man, you will be in my heart and thoughts, your voice and music are always in my cassette, cd and dvd players and sounding loud in my headphones. I love you, as simple as that...

Periodically, I feel the need to visit and express my gratitude for the legacy that Michael left us. For me, his voice is like no other, a one-of-a-kind sound that I have come to depend upon daily. His lyrics never cease to illuminate and connect with me profoundly. Thank you, Michael; I am in your debt. May your loving and generous soul know infinite happiness.
I recently read Rhett Hutchence's Book and not only was it the most truthful book I have read but it has also helped me cope with a recent death in my family knowing that it's okay to cry and wonder why it all happened. Michael Hutchence is a star that is still shinning brightly in the hearts of his family and fans.

Michael Hutchence was one of the great ones. His voice held so much emotion and raw energy that it still brings me to tears today. I can look back and remember when I first fell in love with those curly brown locks and that infectious smile. INXS is a band of true musicians and that always comes through on every song, even today. We miss you Michael and I know we will all see you again, someday.

I adored Michael, I was a great fan of him and the band. I am 39 now and remember seeing them at all their early gigs in Melbourne where only a handful of people would turn up, I am talking about when I was 14 or so. I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard he died and will remember that forever. I feel like I grew up with him in my life, music was a constant for me as was Michael and INXS. I remember after one concert he threw a plastic glass into the audience that he had drunk out of and I kept it (still have it). I had it blu tacked onto my wall for at least 6 years while I lived at home and would not let my mother touch it, there must have been 3 inches of dust in it by the time I took it down and put it in a box! I miss him dearly, as do all his fans.
I became immensely enamored with Michael in 1987. His voice and way with words were mesmorizing. His love of singing and writing were incredibly inspirational. As soon as I became a fan I knew I wanted to work with the voice and with words. I didn't know exactly how I would go about doing that but I felt Michael was a channel for something in me. Today, I'm speech therapist who treats persons with language disorders including voice, speech and reading disorders. Michael was a truly inspiring person whom I owe my life to. God bless all of his fans.

One time last summer I was at Navy Pier in Chicago. And in walking through all the shops I stopped at this one store and saw a display of keychains. They had some that said “What events happened on your birthday?” Mine said that My birthday was the same day as National Day in Australia...!! RIP,Michael

i was married on saturday September the 30th, 2006. a very honored guest at our wedding is a friend of mine whom i had'nt seen in 16 years. over a bottle of wine, we caught up and the largest part of that was sharing our stories of the moment in which we heard of Michael's passing.
Nothing has changed between us in all those years, including our love for Michael and his music.
We were both appalled with the coming of “INXS ROCKSTAR”, it just seemed a bit disrespectful. Then she told me of how her mother loved it, and it kind of made more sense. I only wish that it could have layed to rest in peace with dear, beautiful Michael because what they were, can never be recreated.
I miss you so much!
