Michael was a Genius, his music only briefly known to me, until he died - but since, and after moving to AU, i can see what he ment to this nation.

It's hard to believe how long it has been since that terrible day. Having been a fan of INXS for over 10 years their music and Michaels one of a kind voice have pulled me through alot of hard times. To me he was the most amazing and talented and inspirational artist. He was taken to early but I am thankful that he lived to have such a profound effect on me and the lives of so many people.

When I heard Michael died unexpectedly I said no! It can't be true then it was true I was blown away I first heard about it when I was at work my kee's almost gave out. He was such a great talent and a great person and insperation to so many I wish I got a chance to meet him. I'm so sorry that it happened to such a great guy but then again he accomplished so much in so little time and I guess it was his time. But do not dispare you will all see him again when your time comes. My sincere respect. CG

it's been about 8 years i've been an inxs fan and i can say it's not easy starting loving a band right after its lead singer dies.
but i think what michael left here was so strong, and so deep that doesn't matter how many time it will pass, it just doesn't die.
not his music, his voice, his image as a great musician and human being. Good thinks last forever, and Michael surely is one of the most alive things for me. His lyrics sometimes fits perfectly in my life.
And I just thanks God for sending us such a great boy like him. Thank the family- for raising, loving and suporting him until today. Visiting these sites and message board is just like leaving a message for Michael himself.

May Tiger Lily had a great birthday, god bless her life.

Kell, You are in my thoughts today. I want to say thank you for bringing Michael into this world and into the lives of all of his fans. My heart aches when I think about the pain that you must have felt in losing your son. No father should have to go through such a tragedy. You were not alone in your sadness but I know that you felt it deeper then anyone else. I wish peace for you today..I go on knowing that you and Michael are together once again.
I will always keep Michael's memory alive..Happy Birthday..Peace to the Hutchence family as they celebrate and remember..today, tomorrow and forever.

Happy Birthday Tiger! It seems just like it was just yesterday seeing pictures of you in your mum amd dad's arms! They were beaming with pride! I'm sure they are smiling on you on your special day! Love, Cathy

My son came home from school yesterday (age 9) and told me he had to do an assignment on a “great” Australian who had passed. Most of the other kids were doing Ned Kelly and Slim Dusty, Don Bradman etc. I suggested to him he did Michael Hutchence. Of course he wanted to know who he was and what he did. So I got out an INXS CD and pulled some info up from the internet. He was most interested in Michael's life story and his achievements and loved the music. Of course he had heard quite a few of the tracks before but didn't know who they were. Today music artists come and go so quickly and very few have the staying power to last over 2 decades. I want all three of my boys to grow up appreciating bands like INXS, U2 and even AC/DC (their fathers fav!) All three have an interest in music - Tom is learning acoustic guitar at the moment with me and so he appreciates what it takes to produce and write great music. It is nice to think that my son's generation could take the time to understand and appreciate someone who we took for granted as we grew up listening to bands like INXS. He particularily felt compassion for Michael's daughter as she is only marginly older than him. He found it hard to believe that someone like Michael wasn't old (his words!)We are both keen to finish this assignment for his school and I hope by doing do other kids in his class open their eyes up to what I would call “A great Australian”.

There are not but a hand full of artists that have touched my soul in my life. Michael is one of the few. Beautiful,talented,spiritual,mysterious and a truely amazing performer.I will never forget the day I watched MTV and was shocked,confused and deeply saddened by the news of his death. INXS music has brought so much joy to my life and I listen in awe and rememberance of true talent. I miss you Michael and I hope you have found peace. Love and admiration,Stephanie
