After watching Rock Star tonight which was great, I still miss Michael so much as Andrew Farris said it is a great loss. How one person can have so much charisma through his eyes was amazing. I am so glad I got to meet him before he left us. Good Luck INXS you will do Michael proud. xx
You were and you are great!
I had the honour to meet Michael in 1987 and to this day I still say he is the coolest bloke I have ever met. What a man... what a miss!
I can remember the year that Kick was released - it was all that any one in my school was talking about. The vibe, the lyrics and Michael...yeah Michael was just unbelievable. Even to this day the world is empty without Michael Hutchence. I will never forget those days at scholl listening to the album that shaped my interests in music and life. Good luck to you guys with everything you continue to do - we're with you 100%!!
INXS and Michael were such a big part of my life. I hadn't realized it until I dusted off the old records, found a record player that actually worked, and listened to that incredible music again recently. There is absolutely not a bad song in the entire library. And how it has stood the test of time (unlike much of what we listened to back then). What can one say? Listening to Michael, watching him move and perform...he gave you so much joy. There is absolutely no one like Michael. He was a great artist and he lives on through the wonderful music he and INXS gave the world.
As a black guy i never thought i could like any other kind of music but than i heard “what u need” and I was an instant fan I would've liked 2 have heard his solo record. He will be missed and I hope his daughter is doing OK.

I was fortunate to have seen INXS w/Michael in Ft Lauderdale and thought they were without a doubt one of the hottest, tightest bands I have ever seen in concert. Michael had it all....the look, the charisma and the voice. I will always remember that electrifying night. Thanks Michael....thanks INXS.
Forever in my heart
God, it seems like just yesterday when i was 8 i was sitting in front of my t.v. watching MTV and listening to a great band. I still see Michael singing the INXS songs that were so powerful. My favorite song by INXS that had so much power to it is Mediate. Michael had that voice and those mannerisms that you can never forget. His smiles and sarcasim just totally blew you away. It was so shocking to hear what happened to him. I dont care what people say about how he died. I am just jealous that everyone up there is being able to listen to him. Even till this day I get so upset that I will never hear his mesmerising voice sing another great song. Thank you Michael for your contribution to my generation of music. You have truly made an impact on a lot of people who will never EVER compare to you and what you have done. Thank you!
Michael was a great talent. His voice and stage presence was truly a gift to all of us. We all will miss him deeply. Also, love the INXS site. My wife and I love the band. Just wish we had more recent band pictures. We saw the guys on TV recently and thought they looked great. Can't wait to see them live again. All the Best!!!!
I wish I could have shaken the hand attached to the arm that rested so close to the voice that was one of the most powerful orchestras that rock 'n roll ever unleashed. Maybe someday... Until then...thanks, Michael. You'll be forever imitated and never equaled.
Miss the great performances! Jackie and I saw INXS at the warehouse in toronto. Wow! We hope your in a better place. Keep Rockin.
INXS will never be the same without you Michael Hutchence. I really enjoy listening to the INXS with Michael as the lead singer. I wish you were still here making great music, and I wish I could have seen you all live.
Michael i miss you brother! sometimes life is hard and without you here its that much harder! sometimes you really don't know what you have until its gone. love u bro!
ive been thinking of Michael alot and wished i watched the who got his millions when it was on because i really like INXS more than i realise. Ive loved “Need you tonight” for years and recently got back into the song “Elegantly wasted” which i have on now actually.
simply some of the best music ever thank you michael
I've been thinking of Michael and INXS lately because of the show, which I'm not sure if I'm going to watch. However,it makes me think if the time I first saw them in concert as a teenager. It helped me through a very sad time in my life. What a sad loss for all of us. Miss you Michael, and I hope you're happy. Thank you for everything.
Michael was INXS. By establishing the vocals of the band that was already ahead of it's time; Michael became an icon for all to see and hear. I know it might not be fair to compare great bands, but I looked at INXS and U2 in the same light and for their similiar world causes. Will miss you dearly and still do, Michael. God Bless, you left us entirely too early.
INXS's music has been important to me growing up. It is my brother's favourite band. I wish the band well in their quest. Michael can't be replaced but their music will live on.
13 years old, lying in bed listening to the top 40 ,top 10 or what ever it was back then, a song comes on, its good and the radio is turned up. I have to listen to a few more songs before the DJ annouces ORIGINAL SIN, INXS. My long lasting love affair begins. The years go by and so do the albums. INXS music etched into my life. And then on that day I hear it again only this time the DJ annouces Michael Hutchence is dead. Both times such strong memories are created - one of joy and one sorrow. I'm just a fan greatful for his brilliance. Its not hard to miss someone you didnt know when their music is the soundtrack for a significant part of your life.
I ALWAYS THOUGHT MICHAEL WAS A BRILLIANT PREFORMER, I NEVER KNEW HOW MUCH I MISSED HIS MUSIC UNTIL A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN I BOUGHT A VIDEO....I ALMOST CRIED. HE HAD (HAS)SOOOOO MUCH TALENT~~!! R.I.P. MICHAEL~~
Thoroughly enjoyed your music and you are missed.
I came here to share my respect and love for this truly gifted man. When we here in Sydney heard the news, most of us just couldn't absorb the information which was as it is, totally messed up by the media.Al we knew was we had lost an idol, a star, a legend.
Thank God we still have his music~he entertained the world and captured many a heart....mine included.
I pray those close to him are able to seek some closure knowing we are united in keeping his spirit alive~
