I can't say I'm happy about the upcoming series. I feel it trivializes Michael's death. I'm an INXS fan through and through, and had the pleasure of seeing them several times. I think they will stand as the best live act I've seen. I even witnessed the last New York concert Michael was around for, and it, like every other show, was amazing! He is irreplaceable, and should not be replaced. Sorry fellas, you can't sell me on this one.
so missed
hmm what to say? well i'm 19 years of age and com e from brissy, female obviously. (well i hope it was obvious) Yeah well i've been listening to INXS since i was 5 years old, i was absolutely nuts for them (still am) It was michael's unique voice that got me hooked, and i loved the way it changed as he got older and more experienced because it seemed to suit everything that he sung. I never got to see them live in concert so i regret no being old enough, but it was thanks to michael that i got itrested in music and nowhave a great love for a vareity of music.
but he will always be my favorite vocalist.

Michael is one of a kind, he will never be replaced...
i love music, and many yrs ago i fell in love with Michael, first his voice, then his soulfull face i was very young and really had no money to buy records with, but i saved and in time i bought one of my only records and it was Shaboo i played and danced to it over & over again for weeks and months, other INXS records followed and life went on,you know how some songs become part of you part of your history I have three, one of them is “I need you tonight” He is not gone, LONG LIVE MICHAEL!
I still to this day shake my head in disbelief and choke with tears when I think of hearing the news that Michael had passed away. Too soon for such a beautiful soul. There will never be anyone else like Michael. Thank god for the music we have, there will never be any better.
I haven't visited this site in a quite a while... I'm a fan from Sydney, and am urrently reading Rhett's book which I'm enjoying so much. It's been great to read personal stories about Michael, and see beautiful pictures of his family and friends. I guess I just want to say to his family that Michael will never be forgotten, no matter how much time has passed he will always be remembered. I listen to his music and I'm satisfied, with a smile on my face I remember him always.

INXS FAN FOR LIFE!!!
I met Michael and the band backstage at a concert in the US when INXS was first starting out. He was so nice and asked about me and my life. I never ever forgot that meeting bc of how down to earth he was. His music was one of a kind and so was he.
Michael
We miss you so much.
In search of a rockstar is tomorrow
None of them will be as good as you

INXS has been, is, and will always be my alltime favourite band. Michael, you have left a Gigantic hole in the music world, you and your music, lyrics, and stage presence, just oozed everything of brilliance, excellence and greatness. Hardly a day goes by where I don't listen to some form of INXS music. I have celebrated with it, relaxed with it, made love with it, and it has helped me out when I've been low. Just reading this site, I can see you have had such a positive effect on so many other people throughout the world, such a pity you couldn't have been strong enough to keep going. I only hope the new generation of today can get to know INXS and you also. To the Frontman of the world's greatest band.... RIP.
This is a beautiful memorial. I scouted it because of the publicity of the new TV program. I am familiar with the name INXS and some of the popular songs, but knew not anything about the departed Michael. This site is a beautiful respectful homage to what must have been a wonderful young man. I was deeply touched by the intimate memories presented herein. The moderators have done an excellent job portraying a loving tribute to this tragic legacy. My prayers go out to those whose hearts were torn by this unfortunate downfall.
Though I was only born when INXS frist started to take off, and though I never met Michael or ever came physically close to him, very few individuals--famous or otherwise--have had such a profound influence on my psyche.
As a poor young immigrant from Iran in the 1980's, I first encountered Michael's voice listening to a cheap portable FM transistor radio. The radio was an obnoxious shade of turqouise and was one of my first introductions to American pop music. Of all the songs that I grew up with in that period, and though my English was so poor at the time that I could only make out a quarter of the words, INXS's “Need You Tonight” stands out as one of the single most powerful prompts for a childhood flashback in my musical collection.
Strangely enough, though I grew to like all of the pop songs INXS sent to the charts, I never purchased an INXS album until adulthood. Somewhere between my high school and college years, I acquired INXS's Greatest Hits (likely through BMG). It wasn't until my graduating semester in college, a year injected with new hope and optimism out of the depths of a long and brutal depression, that I consciously delved deeply (and hence surrendered) into Michael's seductive and trance-inducing voice. Michael's penetrating vocal talents left a permanent imprint on my grasp of the human condition and serve as a constant reminder of one of the most triumphant and bitter-sweet experiences of my life.
Now, several years removed from the plush and open atmosphere of a college campus, I use Michael's talent to soothe me in troubled times.
Perhaps his ability to heal me has something to do with our our common mental afflictions and highly emotional nature (I too have seriously considered suicide in the past), but I consider my connection to Michael to be unique, real, and utterly honest.
I send my highest condolences to Michael's family and friends and to all of the fans in the world that received Michael's voice in an empowering way.
And most of all I send gratitude to Michael himself, for providing the world with his most unique and unimaginable vocal talent, and to the exhilarating upliftment and liberation that his music creates.
Regards,
Sohrab Sobhani

Hi from Belize. There are many fans down this way. We really dig that rock'n'roll music. Yeah man!
What a beautiful memorial. Thank you . I've laughed and danced and made love and even sang with more energy because of Michael. Some things remain an indelible part of your life and you are a better person for having the expierence. I hope your energy is still vibrant. nikolaje , just another opera singer.
I truly miss Michael. I love to hear him sing. I listen to his solo cd all the time. He had voice that was a gift from God. may he rest in peace
I miss INXS. I cant wait to hear from you guys. Michael Hutchence was my generations Jim Morrison. He is sadly missed. Whenever I play my cd's it brings me back to times when I was in highschool or college living carefree and being able to express myself through the music which I loved to listen to. INXS will always be my favorite band of all time. I will enjoy your old music and new and will share it with my 1 year old son as he grows. Just as I grew up listening to all the greats like Hendrix, the Doors and others my son will grow up listening to INXS and hopefully it will touch within him the same feelings it touched in me. Thank You for finding the strength within yourselves to carry on. May Micheal Hutchence rest in eternal peace.
Tu vida fue un veradero regalo de Dios que reflejo Fe, luz y esperanza para las personas que creemos en un mundo de luz y felicidad.
Deseo Michael, que descanses en paz con nuestro señor Jesus Cristo.
Has dado luz a nuestro mundo tan triste y obscuro.
Gracias.
Siempre habra alguien que siga tus pasos.
Alberto.

Your death, dear Michael, has left a big scar on my heart, as you were one and only forever... No one will ever be able to substitute you!
I have been thinking about Michael all day. Guess the ads are keeping the band in the front of our mind right now. I just know that he was one of the greatest front men ever and there will forever be a void in the rock world that he once filled. I was young in the 80's and didn't grasp the enormity of his talent and genius. You live on in our hearts Michael and always will!
Wow, thanks for a great site dedicated to one of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen and heard. As a 15 year old I didn't really grow up with INXS on the radio, but listening to it now you realise what a great musician Michael was, by himself and also with the support of his fantastic band mates. It saddens me to think that some unknown singer is going to try and fill the void that Michael left behind with INXS, and I just hope that whosoever should win does an alright job, without butchering the name INXS. Thanks once again for the great website.
Tonight, 08 July 2005, the day after the London bombings, the US satellite channel VH-1 is running a special “Classic in Concert” by INXS.
Second day in a row with tears pouring from my eyes ...
This “ghost” with the voice of an angel is dancing across the stage ... “are you ready for a new sensation?”
Michael, if this “new sensation” is you being gone forever, no, I'm not. And I never will be.
Thanks for the memories, lad.
Gone.
But NEVER forgotten.

I'm not sure what led me to this site today, but I had been thinking about Michael and how I missed him and his music. Thank you for this site and the opportunity to pay tribute to a great man, sorely missed in many ways.
I saw INXS in concert in the late 80's at the SF Warfield Theater and they were so cool. Michael was a great singer and performer. He's greatly missed in todays music-world.
