Want to send a shout out to one of the best showmen of rock history. In the same class with the best ever, Jim Morrison and Ozzy and Mick Jagger...Michael Hutchence had so much raw sexual energy and spirit that he mesmerized us all. Must've been some cool character...Lotsa good times.Oh yeah, you gotta keep “Devil Inside” available on this site all the time so people can hear the band's greatest song ever after “Need You Tonight.”

I remember first hearing about INXS in junior high school through a group of girls in my drama class. They suggested using his music as part of a scene they had to do. I instantly fell in love with the group and Michael. His music is fantastic, well written, and his presence on stage and television was radiant. I remember his death clearly because my son was born that year. It's a shame that we will never know what could have been but at least we experienced what he created, excellent music!

Michael was a true “Rock Star” in every sense of the word. I think and feel sorry for his family and friends everytime I hear his voice on the radio. He was a true talent and will never be forgotten. Love Always,

Ever since I was a young girl growing up in the midwest United States, I LOVED Michael Hutchence and INXS. In fact, years and years later, when I studied abroad in Australia in 2003, I made it a point to visit his memorial site in the cementary gardens in the suburb of Sydney. I felt honored to have been able to pay some small tribute to a gifted soul, and my friends have begun listening to his music as well--perhaps the best sort of memorial. (His solo album in amazing to say the least.)

Having lost my own beautiful mother to cancer at too young of an age two months ago, I send my love and prayers to the Hutchence family. I already know that losing a beloved family member is never something you get over. To lose someone you love as much as you can love anyone in the world is the most difficult thing in the world to deal with. All we can do is pray for them and love them and continue to love them and keep their memory alive as if they were here. They know we love them and are surely touched that we express our love the way that we do.

I think your memorial website for Michael is touching and impressive at the same time--you succeed in celebrating his life and work. Excellent job!

Lots of love,
An Americana

What did I miss??? I really wasn't into inxs when i was younger. I knew their songs and sang along but didn't listen! After Michael died, we bought their best of CD. I am now completely smitten with that man!. I am 35 years old and so over crushes! My husband even finds him a sexy man! Need u tonight is the most erotic song. I imagine him standing there and singing it to me!! am I mad! Read all the books I could get my hands on and I feel like I knew him. What a beautiful soul. I notice no-one has mentioned the P word in this guestbook. I guess she was just as awestruck by this beautiful creature as all us other mere mortals! No-one will ever know what went on in his head or what demons he was fighting. Everyone can only assume. Assumptions are not the answer. What's done is done and it's a damn shame that he just couldn't crawl out of his black hole. But that's just life! We never know what another is really really thinking, feeling or contemplating. I hope you have found the peace you were obviously searching for Michael Hutchence and may you rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. You'll always live through your music and images. JJ

Without Michael's presence, INXS will never be the great band that it was. He personified eloquence, mystery, sensuality, poetry, sensitivity, and ABSOLUTE TALENT!!! I was very fortunate to have seen INXS three times during their KICK TOUR. Those were the best concerts I have ever rocked out to. GOD BLESS YOU MICHAEL, YOU ARE WORTHY OF THAT!

Michael was a wonderful singer, he had a great voice and I love listening to his songs with my friends, and I'm only seventeen. He is wonderful and sadly missed.

What a beautiful talented man! We often sit around on a Friday night playing the music of INXS. OOOOHHHH to have met him would be a dream come true! He ooozzed sex appeal. I hope you have found the peace you so greatly needed. “Better to Burn Out then to fade away” and that, you never will, never fade away.
Rest in Peace!

I guess I've looked at this site a couple of times and tried to justify writing something in it- only because I recently have found INXS again. I've always loved their music and never had the chance to see them all together, so I feel really cheated of never doing so.
Well, I now have 3 children and have since introduced them to the music. They all LOVE it. Our youngest will shout out “Don't Change”! when ever he hears it.Our daughter has said that she thinks “it's so cool that god had let Michael be here on earth long enough to share his music with us”. How very profound coming from a 5 year old. And now our 8year old would love to learn piano so he can learn other instruments later, like the guys--- So I guess my point is that I'm glad I found them again- they've had a positve influence on our children.
I can only say that I miss Michael's voice, always wondering what else he'd have accomplished. He truly was an amazing artist- that voice sends chills-it was so so perfect and clear. I love to watch the early stuff with the guys from “Just Keep Walking” to live footage from the Aria awards on their dvd- he's sooo intence singing “Searching”. It's actually almost hard to watch.
I PRAY that he's at peace, knowing the circumstances surroundong his death. I look at my 8year old and sometime think of his daughter- how sad that she will never know her parents, only possibly that her father DID have such an influnce on so many people.
So, I guess that's it. Back to reality- I wish the guy's well and can't wait to hear more---INXS!! (sorry this dragged on!)

My wife and I were married in 1989. We debated endlessly over what our wedding song would be. Our families were insistent that we select something “proper” and to avoid anything too racy or inappropriate. We agreed with them and selected “Always & Forever” by the group Heatwave. Well, that's what we told them anyway. Before the reception, we got together with the dee-jay and provided him with a CD copy of “Kick.” When the time came, the dj announced us and to the shock (and dismay, might I add) of everyone present, the opening notes of “Never Tear Us Apart” began playing. My new wife and I started our life together with an INXS song, a smile and a warm embrace and I just thought you'd like to know that. God bless you and yours and never doubt for a moment what a profound effect Michael had on so many of us. We will always have him in our hearts and celebrate each passing anniversary with our memories of that day and the smile we shared because of Michael, his band, and that beautiful song.

He was a true star, a bohemian poet and, most of all, a great singer. I think he lived the way he wanted to live, he enjoyed being a star and that kind of lifestyle. He was born to live life to the limit, and payed a big price for it. Just like Elvis, Jimmy, Kurt, Jim....
Michael is another star, and his memory will be kept alive in everyone's mind.
Love & peace to you all.
