4 months after having the honour of seeing INXS on their UK tour in June 1997 I booked my idyllic holiday of a lifetime to Australia. 4 weeks later Michael was dead, the shock of such a tragic loss was immense but strange how the timing had evolved. I witnessed the funeral on UK TV and 3 weeks later I was in Sydney. I had written a letter of sadness but of appreciation of a wonderful person in readiness to take to St Andrews and posted it through the door. A daunting moment but one that I was so very grateful to have had,I felt I could at least say goodbye.
For some strange reason yesterday I felt the urge to resurrect my INXS video collection, possibly not watched since Michael's death...and what did I find in one of the cases? The draft of my letter that I had taken to Sydney. I read it and decided I couldn't have phrased it any better now.

I have always been a huge INXS fan! I even got the pleasure of seeing them live a few times in the 80s. INXS was the equivelant to a Britney Spears concert today. Every teenager was at the INXS concert.

Unfortionately I was too young to properly witness INXS in their prime. Although their music has touched me on the levels of an artist such as Jimi Hendrix, or a band like The Who. Their music was like no other, and contained alot of originality, and more enjoyment than anything. Michael Hutchence was the guy I wanted to be while I was growing up. He could sing better than anyone, and was the coolest guy in the industry. I miss michael hutchense, and I have thought music is not the same without him, especially INXS. I for one will never stop listening to their music, and keep enjoying the legacy that Michael Hutchence has created.

The first time I signed the guest book , I was all in tears ! Now I find this way of expressing once feelings ,towards someone you came to love because of his great voice and talent, very therapeutic.

In 1991, when I saw “Need you tonight” and then “Suicide blonde”, I fell in love with INXS music and Michael's voice.I loved his deep eyes with those magic little flames inside, his gorgeous hair and.. What am I talking about! I love every part of his appearance..
But here, in Russia, just few people knew them (it's horrible!) so it was...and still is few possibilities to get all INXS videos, posters and so on. It's too difficult to love somebody and have no information about him. But I believed he was a great person, so gifted, that many different people all over the world were and still are filled with his great talent and charisma. Only since 2000 I am able to get his pictures, records and truthful information about his life. But only from internet unfortunately.

I have been listening to INXS since I was born. I remember when I was real young and watching Michael and saying This is who I want to marry. I miss him very much. And he is always in my thoughts and prayers.
I would just like to say that I truly loved INXS with Michael Hutchence, and it is not the same without him. There has not been another band to sound like INXS and there never will be. In 1979 I had the opportunity of meeting Michael Hutchence in Australia, and I will never forget him. I own rare videos that are out of print and also CD imports of the group and Michael's solo CD's. I think you did a great job putting together this website, and it has been done with a lot of taste.

We grew up listening to & adoring this charismatic singer, keeping the posters on our wall, only changing them as a new album came out to go with the trend of a new cover & style. Every single person I knew loved INXS and I can say they are one of the best bands I have ever seen & treasure that always.Michael, I am hoping you are looking down on us, amazed at the amount of love us fans have for you. It's good to see so many people still devoted to Michael. I will never get to see him perform but I will be seeing the rest of the band later this year. It's funny but as much as I admired and loved him I could never see him as an old man. He has left us hurting but wondering, I think he would have liked that! I just hope Tiger can remember him when she gets older! God bless you Michael, I hope you and Paula are together.
